School Garden and Wildflower Meadow

We are lucky to have incredible grounds here at Ballinderry Primary School and believe that our School Garden, Wildflower Meadow and outdoor learning areas are valuable resources that provide students with hands-on learning opportunities. We are excited to watch our students grow and learn through these experiences.

The Garden

Our school recognizes the importance of providing an outdoor learning environment that allows students to connect with nature, learn about plants, and appreciate the benefits of gardening. Our school garden is a space for students to get their hands dirty, learn about sustainable agriculture, and work collaboratively to grow a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

The Wildflower Meadow

We are thrilled to introduce our Wildflower Meadow for pollinators which we received funding for through the Live Here Love Here School Pollinator Garden grant scheme. Our Wildflower Meadow is an area dedicated to providing a safe and natural habitat for pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and birds. Have a look at some of the progress so far!
