September

This month we will be:

-getting to know each other;

-learning new routines;

-taking off and putting on our own coats/shoes/boots;

-identifing a wide range of colours and sorting them accordingly.

The children in the nursery have been busy making and eating apple crumble. We used the apples that we picked in our garden. We had to follow a recipe and work on our chopping and weighing skills. It was delicious! However, to quote one of the children, "Mrs Cook, it's nice but it would be better to have it with ice-cream!"

We have been apple picking! We enjoyed learning about how apples grow on trees. We used descriptive language to explore the different colours of the apples and the leaves. We used comparative language to compare the different sizes.

I wonder what we will make with them??

We went for a walk to the Big School and we saw some familiar faces!
