Jolly Phonics

We Love Learning our Jolly Sounds!

Every week Year 1  learn new sounds and we have great fun playing the phonics games.

We now know all our initial sounds!

We now know s,a t, i, p, n, ck, e, h, r, m, d, g, o u, l, f & b, ai, j, oa, ee, or, z, w, ng, v, oo, y, x, ch, sh, th, qu & ou, oi, ue, er & ar.

Why not play I spy with my little eye, something beginning with...?  The children are becoming more familiar with the sounds. Ask them to use their 'magic slide' to have a go at blending.

Some pupils are doing well with making 3 letter (CVC) words and we are learning to write sentences.
