On the Farm

We have lots of ideas for our 'Farm' topic and are very excited about what we will be learning.

We have been learning about the life cycle of a chick. A real life farmer came to visit us and he brought this chicks!

We have been learning about sheep and where wool comes from. Farmer Brown sent us clips about his life on the farm. It was amazing!

We have explored 'The Journey of Milk' from the cow to our cereal bowl!

Old Macdonald's Visit

We are very grateful to Old Macdonald for taking time out from his busy schedule to vist P.1 and tell us all about his life on the farm. We sang his favourite song! Ei- Ei - O!

We love listening to Junior NewsDesk as we learn about farm animals and their produce how farming has changed over the years.  We even watched a clip about how to make ice cream!!

We finished our topic by discussing our favourite farm animals. We read the book 'I Love Animals' and had a noisy, but fun time moving like the animals in the outdoor classroom.
