Transport

Together we created our planning board. The children are full of enthusiasm and full of great ideas!

Our initial focus has been on 'cars'. We conducted two surveys, one for 'car colour' and the other for 'type of vehicle'.

We explored the parts of a car and what the different coloured lights are for. We even know how to check the oil level!  We had a great time making tyre rubbings.

Road Safety

We read a big book about staying safe, even on country roads.

We talked about wearing our cycling helmet and high- vis clothing.

We went out to the playground to learn the Green Cross Code and to discuss safety at the school gate.

We experimented with different cars and varied the angle of the ramp to see if it affected the distance travelled.

We discussed and explored different types of transport around the world!
